I somehow salvaged my yogurt, not knowing at all what I was doing. I turned on my crockpot for an hour, then off again, and when I came back later, it had thickened and was beginning to look a lot more like yogurt. There was still some straining needed, but now I have some whey to go along with our yogurt. Which I can make other things with.
Happy!
Homemade yogurt, homemade granola. I'm really getting a feel for this kitchen thing!

Double Fail
Most of the time I bring Olive to the potty first thing in the morning, and I mean first thing, like as our eyes are opening, she pees and poos, and then I dont have to think about it for another half an hour at least. But sometimes she doesn't pee, and sometimes she doesn't have to poo. Then it's kind of a guessing game. That's not my fail. My fail is this; if she doesn't poo right away, I know it will probably be coming soon. we hang out in the kitchen playing and eating breakfast, or checking my emails and eating breakfast, and playing, I see her *I'm taking a shit* face, and I know it. Its the EC mamas intuition, but another part of my brain says 'no no Julia, she's not pooing, she's just playing', the lazy part of my brain. And the Intuition part is ALWAYS right, the lazy part NEVER. But for some reason it still happens. Not all the time, but often enough to make me annoyed with myself. It backfires on the lazy part, because cleaning shitty diapers is way more work than bringing a babe to the potty. Fail #1.
Also, yesterday I tried making yogurt, and it looks like chunky milk soup. Fail #2
At least its warmer out and my poopy butt baby is cuddly.

Springtime fun, Greg's birthday, and the day after... and, and, and...
For Greg's birthday I made him pie and homemade pierogies, and we hung out at home, then got into a fight. Which is what I think always happens on peoples birthday's because even when you dont want to expect anything on your birthday I think most people secretly hope its gunna be super-amazing-special-time, and then its just another day, and well. But fights are silly, and all the apologies were made from both sides.
These are the pie and pierogies...
There have also been so many awesome days in the sun last week that I took pictures of and never had time to share. Like me and Olive in the backyard hanging laundry (she slept, I hung). And Jakob (EDIT: Jacob, yeah seriously I'm not a good aunt) entertaining himself for an extremely long time at Morgan's. He'll go form one thing to the next in minutes, and is at some stage of super excited about destroying everything. He ate dirt... from his mum's little broccoli seedlings. :(
