Really melllow, we ate a yummy supper (chicken thighs, perogies, roasted red pepper & yams, steamed brocoli and cauliflower, w/ grapefruit Perrier) and exchanged gifts. Olive was excited about all of it. She quickly finished her supper, then wiggled in her chair while we finished ours. Then when she opened ifts she was wide-eyed for each one, surprisingly patient (although also not patient at all by any adult measure). And she was so happy with all her gifts. When she got her ukulele she went upstairs, took it out of its case, put the case with mine, then placed it neatly next to my guitar leaning up against the bed. She tried all her puzzles and read all her books, seeing them through to the end, then moving on to the next. It was really quite sweet.
Ema chewed on all the boxes.
